Saints Looking to Finish Strong on Senior Day

By Parker Beastrom

Football will be played under the lights this Saturday night in Aberdeen! For the Saints last regular season game, they will be hosting the Valley City State University Vikings at Clarke Swisher Field.

Earlier this year the Saints made history by beating the Vikings for the first time in program history by a score of 37 to 30. In this game, the Saints defense showed out, limiting the opposition to only three points in the second half. Austin Eggl had his best game of the season, completing 36 of his 45 pass attempts (80% completion) and went for 391 yards and 5 touchdowns. Ty Fox starred for the Saints on defense, with 12 total tackles, 1.5 of them for a loss, and a pass breakup.

Presentation College will also be honoring the senior members of the football team on Saturday. LB James Jones-Smith, DB Anointe Marshall, WR Jesse Babcock, QB Austin Eggl, DL Nathan Macleod, OL Mark Ramirez, and OL TJ Hicks. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00pm with temperatures projected to be in the high 30’s with a chance of rain. As always, there will be a pre-game tailgate starting at 5:30, where food will be provided. Come support your senior Saints one last time at Clarke Swisher Field.
